Stuts/shocks for 1st gen choices

I'm going to be replacing my struts/shocks in a month. What do you guys think I should go with? Just want a overall good street shock.. no autocross or drifting in it.. Was thinking Illumina's.. Looking to spend aroun 500.00. Thanks

Illuminas are great, from what I hear. I needed springs and struts though for the same price, so I had to settle for the Tokico HP's (and RB springs.) Can't tell you how they feel yet, I won't be putting them on until tomorrow

If are going to drive it really hard, I think top quality shocks are the first place you should spend your money.

For a daily driver, I am pretty well satisfied with my Tokiko Blues. My car is about 150 pounds heavier than stock, with a Ford V8. My springs are stock, but I am running 15 x6.5 wheels.

IME, coil-over is a sucky for street use; a very painful ride. Tokico blues or illuminas with any coil is much better.
