Total capacity is 5.8, refill is just under 5. All the oil doesn't drain out of the system. Much remains in the FMOC, some in the pan.

This is a common question when people change the oil on any vehicle. They ask "How much oil does my engine hold". I always tell them to add oil until the dipstick indicates it is full.

i would say that true but last time i changed the oil the dip stick said full and i only drained 2 1/2 quarts. now i just throw a quart in every 1500 miles. i'm still learning the car as far as oil is concerned.
