GOD DAMN I HATE THAT THING!!!!!!!! I don't need coolent and that stupid thing keeps coming on!!! Its the sensor on top of the radiator correct?! How can I get rid of this thing?? I tried just disconnecting the thing, but it comes right on when you disconnect it! What about when i get an aftermarket radiator and it doesn't have a provision for that thing how do I get rid of that thing? I hate it. It just comes on when ever for no reason and will shut off after about 3 minutes of killing my head. and this sucks I have an 1.5 hour commute everyday!! DaMN HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

 

Get a new sensor or ground the wire.

 

You can just unplug the oscillator (it is the black box between the battery and the driver's side headlight). This will disable the buzzer, but the warning lights associated with it (coolant level, oil level) should still function properly. You could also try testing the sensor to see if it is bad (if your coolant level isn't actually low). They are pretty cheap to replace.

 

coolant level is fine, just the light and buzzer are horrible!!! every day it comes on about 2-3 times... ding dong ding dong.... gawd lol... So just grounding it would work cause I'm going to get an aftermarket radiator soon..
