What do you mean, "Shoot out of the main jets"? Gas should'nt be shooting out of the main jets! Unless you're talking about the squirter nozzels in the primaries for the accelerator pump? If only one of those is squirting, then there is a blockage in the nozzel unit.

But if you're saying that fuel is forcefully squirting out of one of the primary booster venturis, then the float on that side is'nt closing. Your carb would then be overflowing like a toilet full of fuel!

If you are having trouble with your float not closing off the needle valve, then a tap on the top of that bowl cover with a screw driver should fix it. (Or a couple of taps.)

You'll need to be more specific.
What kind of pump did you replace it with? Is it hooked up correctly? If it's not a stock OEM pump or equivilent, are you running a regulator; and if so, what brand and type and @ what psi? Have you checked the fuse panel?
You could've blown the fuse, but still have the ability to pump fuel from the rear fuel bowl thru the accellerator pump nozzel - until the fuel level goes down below the draw-thru orifice in the bowl.

Jump the fuel pump relay and pull the inlet gas line off the carb. You should hear the pump running when the key is on and there should be gas pouring out of the inlet hose. If not, then there's a problem with the pump.
