Stud on Exaust Manifold

When I was dropping all the cats off the exaust so I could swap out the transmission, both of the studs unscrewed off the exaust manifold. I can't seem to get that joint tight enough now and it is leaking. Can I just use a bolt with the same thread pitch instead of those studs?

Can you seperate the nut from the stud? If you can, screw the stud in and put 2 nuts on the end of it to tighten it down, don't go crazy torqueing it down and strip the threads. Also check to see if the threads in the housings aren't already stripped.

If all else fails, you can use a bolt.

That bitch is the reason I bought a Racing Beat header. I never could get that thing tight and end up breaking the stud.
