Strut & spring replacement w/pics
Does anyone remember who it was that prepared an awesome thread showing the full procedure with pictures of the replacement of struts and springs for a 1st gen RX? I had save the thread for future reference and it disappeared. I'm into the job now and could use a peak at this reference. Thanx!

I think I remember his name. Wait, oh yeah... it was me. Here's the link. It's in the Archives now.... Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions at all about it. I'll be glad to help.

Thanx for responding so fast. Had it saved in my computer, but its in for repair and I needed the reference sooner cause I'm into it now. I'm using the tokico blues and apparently there's no o ring or strut seal in the top nut of the strut cylinder sleeve. Have you used the Energy Suspension bushings for the tie rod ends. They're a bit different from stock. There's no locking ring from the bushing to the tie rod like on the oem version. ES says they will stretch tight over the tie rod end.Got ant particular thoughts or opinoins on that. Thanx again for your response. Expect I'll be performing more surgery on my '84 before I'm done.

Looks like a nice, complete writeup. Here's one I did just in case there is anything different that will help you out:

Great write-ups and pics guys. Piece a cake once you get into it.Just had to knock some rust off my tools and my get my automotive brain back in gear. Feels good to be playing with the cars again. Got away from it for too long. Thanks for the spelling lesson also. Before I could only say RX7, now I can spell it.

Not yet. I'm replacing the rearend now and the bushings for the front will come with the coilovers go in (after the Roebling Road track weekend). I'm trying to do things peicemeal in order to see the differences and the opportunities in the setups. Coming soon though.
