Strut Mount question SA-->FB

I have FB struts in an SA housing with FB strut mounts and RE-Speed Coilover kit. The problem is that the threads at the top of the strut are protruding too high through the mount bearing (see pic). I would need to put washers on the top side to get the top nut to tighten down.

Is there a spacer I can put below the mount to bring the strut top down enough?

Thanks,
Rick

if you can't find a spacer, washers would work just fine

But use quality 10.8 washers, not the cheese-metal junk washers from home depot.

Thanks for the diagram. It looks like there is supposed to be a spacer/washer below the top bolt. The rod is still too high since I can barely get the cap on, so I think I will buy a high grade washer to put below the mount.

I used washers and FB strut mounts to get the FB struts to work with my SA.

do you put the washers under the cartridge or in top of it just under the gland nut? reason I ask is because I still want the car to sit level.

how many did you use per side, and whats there thickness? thanks
