Strut Bar Installation

For those who have strut bars:

Are you supposed to remove the existing nuts on the strut tower bolts, mount the bar, and then put the nuts back on over top?

If I do it this way, won't it throw off the alignment?

Or are you supposed to mounts the bar over the existing nuts, and then get 4 additional nuts to tighten on top?

Thanks in advance

yep, remove the nuts, put on the brace/bar and put the nuts back on. it could mess with the alim. but with the car on the ground it shouldn't move.
