I am sending a rotary guy who does alot of this my 12a and need to know what rebuild kit i need and if I need anything special because it will be ported he says I need to get the parts so I need a list thanks motor is a 79 is there a difference in kits for a 12a

 

I guess I'll break the silence on this thread. Your not going to know what you need till your break open the engine and start check tolerances. Your going to need a gasket kit as a minimum but thats assumine that your 25 year old engine is still within specs. I have seen the gasket kits sell on ebay for around 90.00 dollars. also there is a rebuild kit going on ebay for the 12a which should work for your engine and have all the parts you should need for a full rebuild assuming all the parts like the oil pump chain and needle bearings are still good.
