This port is similar to mine, but mine are narrower and have a more rounded upper edge. I also spent a lot more time smoothing everything.

 

I agree. The metal templates also have locating holes. You use dowel pins to hold them in place to make your marks accurate. Jeff, your ports look like Ito's style with the straight across closing.

 

I didn't do those, but I copied some that look similar. The tops are straight, but the corners are a bit more rounded. I'd suspect the same person may have done both sets of ports. His name is Bruce and he worked for a local rotary shop over 10 years ago. My RX-2 engine was guilt in '88, so maybe it was before his time. Heh, whatever.

 

can I see some pics of the actual intake ports where the manifold connects. Just found out my engine has been ported, and would like to have some comparison pics. Thanks.
