There are pros and cons. You can use smaller venturies and idle jet say 65 or smaller, BUT top-end will suffer.

You've basically got too much unburnt mixture spilling over to the next phase...thus causing a near stall condition...loping!

Never heard it desribed that way, but I do love the sound of a bridgey. Under 4k rpm they're worthless, 5k+ hang on.

I was asked that once. I replied "Nope, no cam at all". Talk about a "Deer in the headlights" look......

Same here on the cam, body rocks side to side at idle sometimes from the lope. Something most V8s will never do. lol

My large streetport has a lumpy idle. It only has about 2 hours run time though; mostly idling. It's around 1100RPM at the moment. Maybe when it's broken in it'll smooth out at a lower RPM.

A heavy stock flywheel will smooth out the idle of an engine.
A light flywheel will permit it to idle rougher.

I have to run a lot of heavy, start and stop traffic with my daily driver street port. I changed from a light flywheel back to a stock flywheel, and my idle smoothed out; it will almost (but not quite) pass for stock porting.
