Welcome to the forum. My first bit of advice would be to take the time to come up with a suitable title for your threads. This helps when the experts are browsing for items within their knowledge.
I don't know anything about the weber carbs, but someone should be along shortly to help you out. In the mean time, start looking for vacuum leaks, and make sure that the blockoff plates that came with the exhaust are properly installed. Good luck.

There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum concerning just about anything you can think of on our cars. The trick is knowing how to find it.
At the top of the page you will see a search function. It will greatly benefit you to be proficient in the usage of it. It is not a perfect function but it is a tool and like all tools you need to know how to use it. When you click on it you will see the advance function just below, I recommend that you click on and use that. When you go to the new screen you will see alot of options to use. This is so you can narrow done your search. In this particular circumstance under kewwords I would just type in "Backfiring". If you use too many words then more of unwanted info will come up. Also would recommend that you keep the time frame down to 3 months or less to begin with. Spend some time experimenting with the search functions usage. Also 2 other very important sources of info are the Archives and the FAQ sections.
Sorry about the book but we are attempting to educate all new members as well as existing ones in order to make our section a easier viable source of info.
