Strange Timing Issue

i have a Vac advanting Dizzy.. that i've been trying to set the Timing on..

i mean it's supposed to be straight forward...

u Rotate the entire Dizzy for the Leading timing
and u slide the little cap back and forth for the Trailing...
put them on their Red and Yellow marks on the pulley and that's it

except the strange thing is.. when i pull the vacuume diaphram back and forth.. the Lead trailing changes.. and the Trailing stays put :S

i checked the Wires from the Dizzy to the Engine.. they're all correct..

does the Wire from the pair of Coil packs to the Dizzy itself have a specific Order? perhaps mine are reversed..

Yeah, it sounds like your coils are backwards...

Don't worry too much about it, I just realized a couple of weeks ago that I was in the same boat. I have no idea how it happened though, which is kind of weird. You should have seen me swapping out ignitors and coils trying to figure out why my leading plugs wouldn't fire when installing the 2nd gen coil pack. Once I swapped the coil wires around I was golden. You should be able to just switch the high tension leads (spark plug-like wires) between the two coils and try it again. Good luck!
