I have a 85 fb I am having fuel trouble . It was not pumping fuel to the carb. I replaced the filter nothing I drained the tank blew compressed air threw the fuel line it started pumping fuel and ran fine. Today it stopped again you can hear the pump running but no fuel.Put on new pump and another filter nothing. Any ideal could the screen in the tank be that plugged.Thanks

 

It has been a while since i worked on a stock fuel line setup, but there is a roll-over valve back there somewhere as well.

 

Remove the feed hose that comes from the tank to the pump and see if fuel comes out.

 

I did that Nothing comes out on its own and it has a half tank of fuel. This one is my sons and on mine if you take the line off it pours out.
