Storing a 12A until rebuild time

I replaced my 12A with a new (used) one. But now my other with a blown coolant seal is sitting around in my garage. I want to rebuild it when I get the funds together, but that probably wont be till next year sometime. I remember when I stored my outboard for an extended period of time I fogged it. Is there something I should do to the engine if it's going to sit for about 6-8 months? or does it even matter if I'm going to rebuild it? Any help appreciated.

i always splash some mmo into the engine and spin it around.
keeps it from rusting and seems to break down the carbon a little.

Drain the block COMPLETELY of the coolant and oil. Then lay the engine on its side and drain the rest of the coolant and oil out of the ports. Then after a day or so right the motot and pour oil into the ports and spin the flywheel to get the oil distributed around the combustion chamber.

If you don't get the coolant out the rotors and seals will rust inside the block.
