Ahhh!!
I think I would personally rather see my car like Blairs (sorry buddy) than with a V-8 in there .
Well, I may be a little screwed FYI. I may have just lost my only lead I had on it... I still need to verify that though. Ill try and keep you all posted as much as possible.

Next car you get, get an engraver. Engrave your initials onto every part you take out or put into the car, in several places... That way if they sell the parts, and said parts are all scratched in all the places your initials were, then it's more easily tracible.... My godfather does that with his tools, though how you'd ever find stolen tools again I have no idea.

Paint your next car hot pink with feather boa pinstriping and tiger fur seat covers..You'll be able to find it much easier if it ever gets jacked. (Unless you live in like San Fran or Dupont Circle, D.C.! ).
Actually- I wonder how much lojack (sp?) or something like that goes for??

lojack might not be a bad idea next time around. They advertise that if your car is not recovered in 24 hrs then they will refund the cost of the lojack system.
Anyways, keep up the search TJ, don't lose faith man, it'll turn up.

Lo-Jack is a tracking device implanted in vehicles and monitored by satellite systems or some ****. The thief steals the car and is watched as a red dot by LoJack Inc. They track it down and call the police.

clifford makes a tracking system that lets you track your car with GPS rather than a radio beacon that lojack uses...I've never used it before but it looks pretty cool

LoJack is a transmitter that upon activation by fining a theft report, actually transmits the signal INTO THE POLICE CARS. So as soon as one or more cops gets close to the car, they get notifed on their in car computers and use a technology similar to GPS to go get it, only its better than GPS because it will work in parking garages, near mountains, etc.
Theres no monthly fee, and just the installation charge which as I found out is to be around $700 at most places. Theres a guy on Ebay thats selling the unit installed here in Washington for like $500 though.
LoJack is also NOT TRANSFERABLE to another car. So you cant uninstall it and put it in another car or something. The box is registered to the VIN number, as well as the license plate with the owners information, etc. If you sell the car, you simply have them change the owner information.
For more info just check out their website: http://www.lojack.com/
