does anyone with a 83 gsl have a pic of the stock muffler? if so pls post up. a cop pulls me over for speeding and gives me a ticket, then he goes you need to get a reconstructed sticker...(here in hawaii if you modify your car you need to get it inspected to make sure it is safe and they give you a sticker that your mods are safe and legal) he said that my car is dropped (which is not) and i also need the sticker for my exaust...(which is stock i beleive) so if you got pics that would be nice. thanks

 

Why would a different muffler be a big deal? Its a 21 year old car. That stuff gets rusty and needs replaced. I would THINK that if it has the rest of the exhaust system (cats, etc) being stock, then the muffler shouldnt matter.

well the cop just thought it wasnt stock and that if it isnt stock it is illegal here in hawaii which is stupid..but yeah he just warned me i think he wanted me to admit that it wasnt so he could write me a ticket but i think its stock man it isnt even loud at all so i dont know what the problem was.

Are you on Oahu?
If so, the cop was giving you trouble.
He can give you a ticket for a non-stock muffler, but if you fight it, it won't stick.
Cops can be ******** if you're young with an "import".
