And I thought the STOCK pump was noisy!
My aftermarket pump (designed for "big V8s"... hey it was $30) is LOUD. As in, it drowns out the engine on the highway. That sucker must be something like a plunger type pump with a BIG check ball in it. (the pump is roughly 3" by 3" by 4") Sounds like the anti-fallback ratchets on a roller coaster.
And of course it's mounted roughly under the driver's ears.
