Still won't start...
I've got fuel, fresh plugs, etc, etc... The only thing I can think of is either I need a new rotor/cap for the distributor, or I fucked something up when I removed the rat's nest.
I have the vacuum advance running from the second plug on the intake to a T to the two ports on the distributor... I have the oil pipe vent going to the large plug underneath the shutter valve. Everything else is capped.
What the ****????????

I have fuel and spark from the coils... The wires are all brand new, the fuel filter is brand new... I took out my plugs, they were fouled with fuel, so I put in brand new plugs... I'm running a brand new fully charged Optima red top... I'm assuming it's the rotor and cap, will stop by the auto parts store tomorrow and get new ones. If that doesn't do it, it must be something with the goddamn vacuum lines.

I have to ask, have you actually pulled one of the new plugs and verified that it is sparking? I mean, have you seen it with your own eyes lately? I just want to know that you are 100% sure that it is sparking on the leading plugs now. A bunch of new ignition pieces does not necessarily gaurantee that it is now working correctly. Thanks.

When you get the new cap and rotor, take out the plugs, clean them, again, leave the rotor out, pour a little oil down each barrel of the carb and crank the engine over. Then put it back together and see if it will start. Your compression may be down due to the flooding washing all of the oil out of the engine. The oil in the carb will help bring the compression back up.

Well, I've just seen so many times where somebody is working on something and accidently bumps something else (wire, vac line, dist. cap, etc.). Then they spend all their time troubleshooting their latest mod, even though that's not the problem. I think a visual confirmation of spark is the place to start.

Trochoid, I was thinking the same thing...
I know it has to be something spark related, because when I took my old plugs out, they reeked of fuel. Hell, one of the plugs actually had gas in it. So, I will do the good ol' down the carb trick and see how we do.

When I first started up my bp, with the new fuel system, I could start it the 1st time, but not the second. The plugs 'looked' clean, but they had enough fuel and oil on them that they wouldn't give a strong enough spark. Even when I took them out and sprayed them with Brake Kleen and dried them with compressed air, they still wouldn't spark enough.
Fortunately I have a bead blaster. That was the only way I could get them clean enough to fire the motor. Once I got the fuel pressure set correctly and the seals started bedding in, the engine began starting all the time. Fouled plugs can look clean and still not provide enough spark, especially when the compression is down, either due to flooding, high mileage or a fresh rebuild.

I put in brand new plugs and it still wouldn't start... I didn't get a chance to go to Autozone today, so maybe tomorrow I can try it.

Not unless you either removed the pulley with the timing mark on it, or turned the dizzy during the install. So, I doubt it. Have you seen your spark yet?

I'm also planning to go to DLIFDISLKJSDLFKJLKNMGOICXHVNXD whatever the hell it's called when my GTUs gets here... I'm just gonna steal the coils from it.

Yeah, just keep it away from the plug hole when you start cranking it over (POW). Are you going to get a transistor unit for the 2nd gen ignition too? Its a nice mod all by itself, but when you add the TT to it the **** really starts to fly...

I bet u capped off the fuel vent near the top of the carb vaccum line looking but bigger if u cap that it floods constantly. its near the top left looking from the drivers side strut tower
