well i got the exhaust off, all those heatshields, the driveshaft, and the tranny fluid drained today. not bad for a few hours of workin on it.
i also tried to get the damn shifter out but its a pita. stupid auto tranny pos. anyone know how i can get it out without destroying the shifter besides what i think im gonna have to do?
i dont wanna have to take off the entire friggin dash just to get the shifter out

 

Is the tranny still in the car? The shop manual says to disconnect selector rod, then remove transmission. It looks like you need to remove the tranny, then maybe get at it from under the car.

 

yeah i disconnected the selector rod already but thetranny is still in. hmmmm maybe it will out from the bottom.
i guess i'll see by the end of this weekend
