Exclamation Still Needing Help,...Tach and Carb!!

Does anyone who has taken the tach out of a cluster know how to wire it up direct

The tach im talking about has 3 brass post on the back of it with a red and black wire hooked to a circuit board on one side. My original tach is toasted and im trying to keep the car looking original. It will mount to the faceplate so I dont think that will be an issue

Also I have an edelbrock carb that needs a rebuild..no biggie except I want to plug off one of the primary barrels does anybody have any experience in doing this
My original Idea is to remove the butterfly just plug it off the accelerator pump squitor too and and the venturie so ill have a 3 barrel

Yes I know it would just be easier to get a smaller carb but when you are dirt poor you have very little options

Also I hooked a vacuum line up to the crankcasr vent to try and reduce the smoking from the bad seal on the turbo ,....it still smokes like a burnt chicken on a grill oh well i tried.......If I can just make it a few more week Ill be ok

i would reccomend replacing the tach with another identical unit. dont fudge up your 7. why would you want to plug off one of the barrels? just tune the fuel pressure down with a manual fpr and rebuild your current carb..

Id Love to go that route!!! but I've been out of work for 4 months ,truck driving school and then, blindsided by the federal motor cariers safety administration ....
...saying i cant drive an 18 wheeler (even though I have a CDL)and have passed my test all this due to a below knee amputation!!(just another case of legal discrimination!!)

I have to be retested by the federal government to prove (even though Ive taken and passed the required test for everybody that has 2 legs!!!)that I can drive a truck SO UN-REAL your tax dollars at work!!Ive been waiting on them for 2 months!!
