Stickerboy

A friend got a vinyl cutter and I'm helping him get it set up as a side-business. I'm not really one for stickers on my car, but I figured it might be nice to put a tasteful rotary engine sticker on the side glass. If I don't like it, it can be easily removed. I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think?

I like it. What about doing vinyl badge-sets? I think Rusty S. stated that he used vinyl badging prior to clearcoating. I hate waxing around badging; and they dull pretty badly in about 5 - 7 years. I be interested in a set of vinyl badging for an 1981 model.

btw, your car looks flawless.

Well, I'd have to go through the proper channels to set up a Group Buy or something, and ask my friend how much he'd need to make it worth-while. The guy just pluncked-down $2,000 on hardware, software and vinyl material and intends to make this into a real buisness. I'm guessing, but probably $20 for a pair, shipped (USA). I may be off, so don't hold me to it.

Can he do custom designs? Maybe something that goes across the top of the windshield? NOT RICE! I have something tasteful in mind.

Point taken. If we were to sell them, we might have a couple sizes available. The larger size would be fractionally smaller (~1-inch) than the one in the picture, so it would fit in the USPS Flat Rate Envelope. A smaller one would be, say, half the size.

Absolutely, that's why he got the vinyl cutter. Again, I don't want to make this into a sales thread, as we don't yet have permission from Ryan (Forum owner), so send me a PM or email if you want to talk about your idea.

This is a car with rice stickers

The one on your car is only one, and a tasteful one at that. My take on people putting these performance stickers on their car is to say "Hey look, I have these mods done to my car, I'm cool"

I like the designe, I think it looks good, and I am glad to see that you put the sticker on the glass.

It is very tasetfully done

I find that stickers on the paint look real bad IMHO, but on the glass they can come right off when you are tired of them.

I don't have any stickers on my FB, but I do on my daily driver but they are just MTB stickers on the rear glass of my VW Golf

I love the old-skool Rotary engine badge:

Gimme that, sized up to fit the window, and I'm in.

I like the looks of the window decal. I have been considering getting something similar for my car, along with a larger rotor shape, for the back window.
The price you mentioned sounds about right, and I would certainly consider purchasing a pair, especially if they were offered in other colors. Not real sure how white would look on a red car, with tinted windows. Everything on my car is either red, black, or silver ( side emblems and wheel lips). I'm thinking either a silver or light gray would look best here.
More colors = more sales. Just my $.02
