stereo installation kit for 79 SA

I have a 1979 RX7 and have a Pioneer stereo/CD player that i need an installation kit for. The radio is loose in its hole in the center console and we need to secure it. Best Buy does not have an installation kit for a car that old and Crutchfield does not either. Does anyone have another suggestion?

I have heard fo the second gen kit working with some modification.

I am wanting the slip in metal box shaped radio holder as well as some mounting brackets that i can bolt down and secure the stereo.

sorry you are going to chop up your vintage RX's dash. if you haven't already removed the plastic center radio/heater console, you'll see that the radio slot is pretty narrow and you'll need to cut the metal of the dash frame back there to get enough space for a modern head unit. Might be more room underneath where the cassette deck (optional) fitted? once you start chopping though, there's no turning back since those console parts are getting really (!) rare. I opted for leaving mine stock and hooking up my iPod.

oh no... it just slides right in. No metal cutting or anything. I just need a way to secure it so it doesnt move around. It is already hooked up and works, but wobbles around.
