Stereo instalation kits
I'm going to be putting a deck in my 85 gs. Last time I did this I used a Metra kit. It worked, but looked kinda cheap. Does anyone no of any better kits, or have any tips on making your own. I want it to look nice, and don't want to attract to mutch attention. I have thought of leaving the factory tuner in place, in hopes that it would deter theft.
Any ideas?

Would this work for you?

Once the detachable face is removed from the deck it's just a wall of stainless with two openings in it. Thieves know right away it's not going to be a grab-and-pull job to get it out.

C. Dawg, now go finish your box?
When I get cash I will get one.. cause I know you can modify the 79/80 dashes for them to fit...

My center dash console, the switchplate for the power window switches, and the instrument surround are all painted Sparkling Black Metallic (H1) with 2 coats of clearcoat.
I had them painted by the bodyshop when they repaired collission damage. They did it at no charge as pretty much every bodyshop pads their bills ot the insurance company anyhow.
