Steering issue (Is this normal)

Okay heres the scenario

You're driving, theres a line in the road or continuous bumps, or maybe the road tilts, your wheel says F'you and goes that direction.

I can drive on the freeway or roads fine one day and the next it'll snap over like it's fallowing lines in the road but someones the road just tilts, other days it doesnt do it at all.

Only reason I'm posting is because sometimes it's VIOLENT and I'm often scared to be next to cars due to the fact I can fly over left or right about 1 foot instantly... I've noticed rocking the wheel side to side prevents this, the steering linkage feels "okay" would anything in particular cause this? I was thinking of getting those better idler arms to remove some of the slop

take a look at your inner and outer tie rods, and your idler arm. I'm assuming you have manual steering correct?

^Correct, no power steer.

My thoughts are when I play with the steering (It gets stiffer) that the suspension parts moved to a normal position but are worn out so at odd situations they let the wheel pull away.

This is my first manual steering car, I got new wheels that have sexy semi-slick tires, the pulling has pretty much stopped except randomly which these tires grip more so it's a even harder pull but my old tires in the front were woren slanted, thus I thought thats why it would fallow the grooves.

Ball joints.... Possibly alignement, but most likely ball joints. Don't procrastinate on this one...

Yeah, definitely not normal. You need to closely inspect front suspension and steering components.

Is it more prevalent with one tire than the other? Might give you a starting point.

Ball joints, idler arm, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, tension rod bushings... anything that effects wheel position can contribute. Also, wheel bearing adjustment should be checked.
