Is the older style 79-80 steering box a bolt in replacement for the later style ('82 in this case)?

I have an older parts car that seems to have significantly tighter steering. Wondering if I can use that steering box.

Not sure about the 79-80 boxes, but on my '82 I put in a box from an '85. I had to swap the steering column with it because the '82 was all one unit, while the '85 had a U-joint. Might have been because the '85 was a PS box, the '82 was manual. Check the bottom of the steering column. If it is all one piece, it should swap out fine.
