Starts then Dies?

Well i finally fixed the oil leak and i had it started no problems.........but now, when it starts it dies instantly. Gets one good rev to about 4k then shuts down. The best i can explain it, is when you rev your car then shut the ignition off, or when there is a theft lock that allows you to start it then after about 2-3 seconds it dies. I dont think im getting a constant flow of spark somewhere, the problem is, i dont know where to look. Can any of you point me in the right direction? Thanks again.
Daniel

Does it start right up and then go dead on each and every try,,or what>, could be gas starvation or vacuum hose off,,,,let us have more to go on.....

I don't know if this is related, but my car is having a connection issue with the ignition... i can feel the key moving roughtly. If i don't give it gas, it will turn it self back off. I don't know if that might be the cause of yours... all i can say is damnit... another thing to fix..

*shrug*

still love my car.

No it doesnt start anymore.........The fusible link has constant spark now(problem before) and its getting plenty of fuel. When it did start it would start like once every 10 tries then die right away. But the thing i dont understand now is i have spark, gas, and air, but it doesnt even sound like it wants to start anymore.

that hose, because of it nearness to the exhaust, tends to become brittle as well. if it is not snug, check for vaccume leaks there. that little hose tends to be rather troubling at times.
