Arrow Starting problems...contiunued....

well todayi got cracking on the fuel problem, firstly i disconencted the fuel pump hose, no fuel in there, so then i gigured maybe there a blockage in the lines, so diconnected it at the filter, no fuel coming out. In a desperate attempt, i removed the fuel tank, emptied the gas, the gas was clean. Blew air thru the hoses. Thought dang it it all was ok. Tried out the fuel pump, ya it ran, had all the pumping power of a dead slug. So looks like it is the fuel pump. Took it out, connected it directly to 12v, it ran, but it wouldnt suck up some water in a bowl or blow anything out. So culprit found. Yesterday i also replaced the points. noticed it had those nasty 3 electrode spark plugs in too, they r outta here. The loud noise i told u was coming from the back of the car, turned out to be the worn out plastic gears in the hatch opening motor. so need one of those too. Found one on ebay, will an 81/82 hatchopener motor work with my 79? Sorry for boring you and thanks for reading.
