starting problem

A couple of months ago I droped a reman 12A in my 85. I put a RB holley and a MSD 6AL. I runs good except after it idles for a while (couple mins) it goes dead. Its real bad when I press the cluch coming to a stop sign. But the biggest problem is when the engine gets warm it won't crank back till the engine cools down. after it cools I can press the gas once or twice and it fires up and runs like a champ until It goes dead again. It idles good at 800 to 900 rpm for a few mins then It dies. I could really use some help on this one if anybody could give me some tips

When you stated that it won't crank after it warms up. Did you mean to state that it cranks but will not start after it warms up?

If so, recommend that you perform a compression test.
As far as the idle issue, inspect for vacuum leaks. Possible float issue,Too much fuel?

Also need to check for spark when it does not want to start after it warms up also.
