starter brushes

are the starter brushes really different between automatic transmission and manual? Having a bit of trouble sourcing these. Maybe just a hardware store "close" enough brush filed to fit? I know whole starters are pretty cheap but brushes are cheaper still.

okay thanks, I'll probably hunt down something similar and use 'em, there's no reason get too picky as I see it, they're just brushes and if they fit, they fit, a tad too big, a minute with a file and should be good, I'd think

Stopped by a shop, Batteries Unlimited in Wyoming, Mi. Guys were very helpful and cool. He set me up with a brush plate and 5 brushes (a spare in case I mangled one) for $10!!! It's all back together and start'n fine!!
