Thumbs up Started RX-7,.......new season

Hey guys!
I decided to start-up the RX-7 since winter is gone. The weather temp
here is around 40 F. It took alot of cranking but i got her going. And i took
it out for a spin around the block.

I did change the fuel filter, and notice the previous owner had installed a filter
that looked different from what it was supposed to have. It had the in/out on one
end of the filter, mounted upright. And he also got it with the flow arrow pointed
towards the gas tank...hmmm. The filter looked very old, made in Israel.
It sure needed it change. The new filter doesnt fit right in the new
retainer, but i guess it will stay on.

So hopefully now it will run much better this year, specially after i change the spark plugs. There has always been a small shaking in the engine, mabe i will
find what is causing it, suspect a vacuum leak.

Well, that's how things are going with my 1981 RX-7 GSL.

Awesome! I just pulled mine out of storage (just got home actually!)

29.15$ (~13.4gal @ ~2.109$/gal)of gas, 3oz MMO (premixed) and she's out back waiting to take me to work in the morning!

Of course, she fired on the first try as usual, but that's the benifit of EGI

Hope she treats you well this year!
