so people keep talkin about this and i would asume its an ecu system or something but what exactly is it and what does it do/ how much does it help??

 

yeah you are right. when they say "stand alone" they usually mean a stand alone engime management systems ie;motec,autronic,microtech.

Aftermarket standalone systems usually net about 10+ to 20+ hp all things being the same..... plus you have more options for advance timing ,fueling and other stuff that your stand-alone functions like anti-lag and traction control for drag

 

I thought that aftermarket ECUs for our cars weren't all that great. How much money for a decent upgrade from stock SE?
