Odd noise under acceleration

When i accelerate i hear a high pitched resonating noise. Ifi accelerate slow its a long drawn out high pitched vibration noise. If i accelerate fast its a short high pitched vibration noise. And it doesnt just happen once. it cylces. Like ever 500 rpm itl do it and it stops when i let off the gas. Could it be because of the exhaust setup and im just hearing droning or is there something else?

What does it do under zero load- ie. in neutral? With your right foot on the gas pedal and you "standing" beside the car, rev the engine to better pinpoint the source of the noise.

What exhaust setup do you have? It could be droning if its just made of cheap pipe or you are using a VERY cheap muffler.

RB Header, RB presilencer, Stock Muffler. Ill check the under load thing tomorrow morning, but i noticed if i stop accelerating when the noise starts to occur, the noise just stays.

i had the same problem with my gsl-se yesterday...I pinpointed my issue....it was the rear hatch weatherstripping, it would only make noise when the car was in motion...it was basically vibrating rapidly against the hatch resonating through the entire car...wierd
