ss slave lines

I read a thread the other day and saw a reference to a Braided S.S. line for the clutch. Does anyone know of such a creature and if so where I might find it.
I also needed to bounce this one off someone willing to read it. I'm thinking of removing the headlights, retractors and all associated parts. In place I'm going to make housings that will sit in place of the O.E.. In each housing will be an H.I.D. aux. light as well as a front facing air scoops. My thoughts are that by removing the retractors and going to H.I.D.(H.I.D. lighting draws less amps than halogen) It will releave unnecassary draw on the already slowed down alternator( Eccentric double sheave underdrive), drop a few pounds, clean up the engine bay, make room for custom fender draw air box,( gel cell has been moved to the rear behind the pass seat in compartment), promote cooling of the bottom of the intake(reducing the chance of condensation of fuel to form on the tops of intake runners due to the contrasting temps associated with the header below the intake and the mass flow of air on the top of the intake), and improve all-around visibility. Plus they look sweet. A lexan cover would seal the housing and carry the contour of the front angle and curve. Just an idea. Please give me feedback.

For the SS clutch hose you can get them at mazdatrix or atkinsrotary plus a few other places, I'm sure. They cost about $20. I have one on my car and I like it. It doesn't change the feel much, but my old line was cracked and leaking so I figured I should go ahead and upgrade.

For the HID lamps, are you sure on the current? I know the bulbs themselves may be at less current only because they are supplied with a high voltage from a HID ballast. I really don't think that you will reduce the load on the alt with HIDs, but the lighting would be much improved, though.

I am sure that you could do the HID lamps, but they are expensive and the mount needs to be adjustable so that you can aim each lamp. You should check out some of the HID kits that they put on 3rd gens, it may give you some insight on what you would need to do.
