squeeling?

im having some trouble with my 85 12a. ive been driving around town here lately and been havin some bad squeeling in the front end. it kinda sounds like a power steering pump but i dont know if the rack and pinion has one. i was wondering if it could be my clutch/throwout bearing because it only happens in low gears and not all the time. thanks

Does it happen when your making turns? Or during shifting?

Your alternator belt may be slipping. Mine did that alot, then I replaced and tightened it last year and haven't heard a thing since.

What rpms does the squeeling start. Belts are the first thing to check.
