Question squealing at low rpms?

I was driving around today in my 84 gsl-se and I noticed a squealing noise, it sounds like it is coming from the front of the car. It is only there when the engine is at 2.5k - 3.5k RPM. anything under or over that and the squealing stops. The noise also goes away when I press the clutch in, but it is there when the car is in neutral and reving (just not near as loud).

What is causing this? I thought maybe it was a wheel bearing untill I noticed that it stops with the clutch in.

Also, I called NAPA today and asked how much fuel injectors cost for my car, they told me it only took one and that it was like $270. I thought it has 4 fuel injectors, could they mean a full set costs $270?

(not that I need injectors, I was just curious)

mate sounds like your fan belt being lose (if its same as aussies ) just undo ur altenator nut and hold the bottom of the altenator up wth a long screw driver so the belt is tight (belt going to ur clutch fan) see how you go champ

yes, check your belts' tension and if they are worn, do not use belt dressing

Also your alternator bearings may be beginning to fail. Don't let your alternator seize up or else you'll fry the belt and then won't be able to make it home.
