There is not a 'governer' that I was aware install to the Rx-7. Maybe you are limited by restriction in your exhaust and fuel systems. I had no problem going 115 mph in my '83 at Buttonwillow race track, once I made so modification to the carburetor, fuel supply, exhaust system and of course added safety items. Better suspension, brakes, 6pt roll cage, Toyo Proxy RA-1 and shave a few hundred pounds of carpeting, stereo, etc.

Maybe cars out side the states had this 'governer' you are talking about.

umm... our cars dont have governers... that i'm aware of at least. I could see maybe on an -SE... but certianly not on a 12a car.

you're probably not making enough power to make it past 100mph, you could be out of tune.

just my $.02, sorry if i'm wrong in advance.

Not on the SE either. Mine does 132 with the 3:93 rear. Did 120 with the original 4:08.

You might want to replace your fuel filter, if you haven't already.
