Special Canadian Limited Edition
Has anyone seen one of these or have one ?
I have a 1979 Limited Edition and on the dash there is a plaque that reads
Special Canadian
Limited Edition
#19 of 150
Anyone familier with this model?
The car is is excellent condition and has a new motor with approx 20,000 KM and a body restoration several years ago.
Drove it and drove it hard for several years and then laid it up for 6 years. Just put it back on the road and want to restore it.

I will take some pics this weekend and post them.
It's a 1979 RX7 and seems to have had all the options. Missing power antena and air conditioning, which I am looking for. Also it needs new rubber extior molding.
I am thinking it is one of the first 3000 Limited Edition's that were out from 79-83 I believe. I could be wrong on those dates. I have seen other Limited Editions but none from 79 and none with the Plaque.

Does it have gold or brass hardware in the engine bay?
I've seen a black 79 or 80.......that had an LE badge....vinyl on the roof interior (instead of cloth like mine) and all gold colored hardware (nuts, bolts, brackets, etc) in the engine bay.

No it is just standard silver brackets, bolts etc. no "badge" markings on it except the Limited emblem which is located on the body between the rear sied glass and the door.
I will get some pics up asap, but I am a very busy guy. was hoping today or tomorrow but I am preparing for my Annual Hempfest , www.planetarypride.com/hempfest.html which is in 2 weeks from now. So I will be working tomorrow.

I have a 1979 L.E. as well with 26,000 km. Mine needs painting and very little bodywork, Where is the ''badge''? located and what exactly does it say?
