SPAX SSX lowering springs for SA

Yes, I’ve read about the advantages of coil overs and the disadvantages of lowering springs on stock struts/shocks, but I’ll ask anyway. What do you guys think about these particular lowering springs to just get my SA a little lower & tighter? Car drives fantastic otherwise, no play anywhere, but it’s a tad too soft and high for my liking. Thanks in advance!https://www.venommotorsport.com/prod...nsion/SU41324/

I've never heard of them before but apparently they're reasonably popular with the VW guys over on VWvortex and the brand is reasonably well regarded in Europe, at the very least I couldn't find anything bad said about them. I'd say go for it, keep in mind though that they are progressive rate springs so if it's not as low as you'd like after they are broken you can't really cut coils without messing with you spring rates.

I personally run Racing Beat springs and koni yellow shocks (front are AW11 shocks and rears are for a fox body mustang) and though I like they way the handle the ride isn't the most pleasant on bumpy roads because they are constant rate, but it's tolerable. My front is pretty low but I never saw a noticeable height change in the rear, even after 20,000 miles of driving.

I'd say pick them up and tell us how you like them. They seem to be of good quality and the VW guys all claim some level of lowering over stock springs on their cars.
