Unhappy Spark no Start

So i thought i wasn't getting spark in one rotor or another, getting spark in all of them.

Something that is new to me is my fuel pump runs when i turn my key to the "ON" position and runs non-stop until i turn it off. Is this affecting my ability to start my car?

I read the most recent post of se fuel pump? and im not sure what to think. Something is obviously wrong.

Help? Thanks ~Gavin

I am pretty sure that your fuel pump is supposed to run when you have the key on. Maybe timing? I am guessing you have an SE? Need some more info.

Gavin,

Do you have the original EFI on the car? I would suggest looking at the connector next to the AFM with the rubber boot on it to see if someone has put a jumper across it. Some of the other possibilities are:

-AFM door stuck open (would cause the pump to run and make starting difficult)
-Switch in AFM is bad (stuck closed)
- someone bypassed the circuit opening relay for the fuel pump

Generally, with the pump running, it should not cause difficulty starting since it normally runs while cranking anyways. Although, it may if your injectors are leaking. I would check the door on the AFM also. Just push it open. There should be some resistance. It should 'clunk' closed when released.

Your engine may be flooded. Did you pull the plugs to see if they are wet?

Hope this helps.

Kent

Yea they are wet, its been sitting for 2 days and i just pulled them out today. Even if it is flooding i have tried unpluggin the fuel pump and cranking it also with same same result.

The thing with the fuel pump is it never ran before in the ON position, just now all the sudden when the bi*ch don't start it does. But i will try some of what you said.
