Spare tire holding bolt

Would anyone know the size and thread pitch of the spare tire holding bolt? Mine is missing and I want to find a replacement to secure the spare tire. Advance search yielded nothing.

10mm X 1.25 Pitch X 90mm long. The first 10mm or so is necked down to act as a pilot.

I agree with the above dimensions, but mine is only 75mm long. It fits, cuz I just pulled it out to measure it.

FB bolt may be shorter since space-saver spare. Banzai may be quoting from SA Herd. otherwise same specs...

Good catch Stu, you may be right. Mine was from an SA with a full size spare. I tend to forget that others here have more modern, space saver fandangos.

Banzai, are you associated with the guy that does rebuilds?

My rx-7 sometimes screaches like the power steering pump is dying. But it doesn't have power steering. It sounded like that a couple of months before the engine blew 16 years ago. I deluded myself in to thinking that the air pump was making the awful screaching sound.

You may be thinking of "Banzai Racing", which is an actual business. This is a legit question you ask, but one that may never get a decent answer buried in an unrelated Thread like this one. If you want to get some answers, post a new Thread with this as the topic...

Just to close this thread I started I bought a 10mm X 1.25 Pitch X 70mm long bolt at the local hardware store and it fit fine. Thanks to all that replied.
