Check your main grounds, make sure they are making a nice connection. Could be a voltage regulator/alternator problem also. I'm not good at electrical stuffs, somebody else can help more.

Seems like something shorted/is shorting in the radio.

Is the radio stock or aftermarket. If it's aftermarket, did you do the install?

stock everything ....yea im thinkin it's a cross short with the radio and the clock since they both share the fuse or whatever

I dunno about the cross short idea...
But it does sound like there's a short or bad ground with the radio. (if the radio shorts, the current sink goes up, the voltage goes down, and the clock dims; if there's a bad ground, the radio comes on, the current sink increases (or tries to), the voltage decreases, and the clock dims :-))

Check ur wires. Do you have a voltmeter?
If you're not experiencing these problems with any other system, I would suggest that it's just something in the radio harness or the radio's ground.

hth,
enigma

Since you haven't said its NOT the fuse yet, I'll bet it's the fuse. Check it

also, clean off your battery terminal. I was having some electrical problems and they seem to all have gone away since I scratched all the old crap off of my battery terminal (negative side only actually) with a screwdriver. Make the terminal shiney, and scratch up the thing you put on the terminal as well. i dunno if it will work for you, but it worked for me!
