Soon to own a 1st gen.

Well, I have decided, I want a 1st gen, my Turbo II is awesome, but I need another 7 to help my collection grow.

I have been thinking of a 1985 GSL-SE, how much do you figure one would go for? Decent condition, etc.

Also, what engine does it come with and is it possible to find a GSL-SE with a carbeurated 12A in it?

I don't know much about the 1st generation of these cars....yet. Also my friend just sold his 1st gen for an 87 Turbo II...I was kinda sad to see it go.

se's are the fuel injected versions. if you want it carbed but the upper model you'll need the gsl. when i looked there wasn't much room to be picky. i would definitely go carbed so you have a true old-school 7. welcome to the secret society.

Welcome to the land of thermal reactors, carbuerators and gremlins who make your starter crank when you turn on the headlights. You are sure to have the time of your life with us and your 1st gen.

Oh yea, dudes, it gives the car "character" you don't just get in turn the key and drive you gotta "talk" to it and know what to do with it (at least with mine) It's got it's quirks but I like it so much I just bought another.

OH YEAH! Stephen King has it all wrong. Christine should have been a first gen. RX, not a Plymouth. But beware, once you have your first gen. theres no turning back.

You should get a '79 w/ no sun roof, less electronics, less headaches. Very hard to find. Then, either drop in a 13b or a 12A Turbo...very nice. The SA's were meant to have a 13B.

Happy hunting.....
