if i remember correctly if you swap to the TII's brakes you need at least a 15" wheel to clear the brakes

i personally think 18" wheels are just too much for an SA/FB... what are you doing to combat the rubbing issues?

you can do a FC front subframe swap into the FB chassis so you can get the R&P steering, suspension, etc. There is a writeup on how to do it in the archives I think.

18's are massive! You'll be running 4x4 style suspension to fit them under! Sell em and get some nice 15/16's dude

I have seen 18's on an SA/FB and they arent that big. I dont think they would rub. The whole wheel and tire is only like an inch taller than the stock wheels and tires.

So it is prolly the same in an SA for the front end swap?

remember, the stock wheels are 13". you are adding 5" of height. they're going to rub.

anything over 17" rims and it rubs. 17 not to bad, but 18's will rub hard

I've seen 18s on a s3 sev and it was about 20-30cm of the ground, which, with the first gens high wheels arches, looks huckmole.

I have said this before....

I MEASURD THE TOTAL HEIGHT OF MY STOCK SA WHEELS AND TIRES AND THE 18'S WERE ONLY LIKE 1/2 INCH TALLER!

Therefore they will NOT rub.

The tire profile on the 18's is literally one inch.

Keep tire profile in mind. I am subtracting tire profile and adding rim size.

The stock tires are also only 70-series, with an overall width of only about 7.25 inches... have you considered the width of your new rims/tires, and how that will impact fitment?

The wheel wells are not square in cross-section, they're rounded off. A wider tire of the same diameter will rub, too... particularly in front, where they have to pivot to turn the car.

Nice refurbish job on the rear end. Can't say much for the tach and shifter though.

Well they would need spacers and fender flairs.

And i am not doing that swap anymore. I was going to make this a drift car but i am just going to use the Turbo II insted.
