Arrow something you all can appreciate

84 GSL. I just rebuilt the 12A motor, big street port, intake and exhaust ports. The intake manifold was also ported. Best of all, I replaced the crappy stock oil-to-water oil cooler with an air-to-oil oil cooler off a 2nd gen RX7. Now THAT is an oil cooler. Heres a how-to on this. I didnt run into any major problems, except Im waiting on the extra banjo bolt to finish it up. Ill let everyone know how it works once I get the whole car finished later this week. Ill also add more pics to the how-to once I finish it on my car.

Sad to say though, this car will be sold by the end of the week. I already have a buyer, and as soon the car runs, he's picking it up.

Heres a pic of the engine bay.

That carb looks familiar

My oil line fit the stock 12A cover. I bolted my oil cooler to the part with the two bolt holes instead of the tubular crossbeam.

For those of you planning on doing this, don't cut a slot in your radiator support like I did, your radiator will not fit right afterwards.

If I was keeping that car for myself, that exhaust manifold would not be there. But Im selling it. I will be doing all of the work on that car after I sell it though.

Ill put up some how-to's if I do anything else to this car. Let me know if theres anything inparticular you would like to see. I would most likely be able to talk the person whos buying it from me into doing some of that stuff to the car. Anyone wanna see a 12A turbo install?

I am currently converting over to a 2nd gen cooler from the stock water/oil cooler as well. I didn't want to buy new mazda 2nd gen lines or buy used ones from a salavage yard and didn't want to order any special parts so I found that is was faster to simply wield on more common pressure line fittings and using the banjo on the water/oil cooler line to hook to the back engine connection all with stainless steel braided line. I will write up the cost of this and parts I used when I have time.

I have pretty much everything done with the engine. Just need to tape a few wires, put the plugs in, and put the air box on. Heres the pics. The oil cooler hoses fit great.
