some wiring questions

Ok, I'm doing some wiring on my 83 GS project car. I'm relocating the battery to the storage bin and running some 1 ga wire I have for it. But I can't seem to find any eyelets for 1ga to connet it to the starter. Does anyone know where I can get 1ga stuff? Also, I'm putting a FC fuseblock on the car, but I can't find any spade connectors that fit the thing, they are either too small or too big. Its like its some odd size, does anyone know where I can get any? TIA

Not sure about the eyelets, but when I put the FC fuseblock in I used some spade connectors I picked up at Home Depot. I can't recall the size right now, but they've held on through a change from warm to cold weather. I don't have the car or the little plastic thing the connectors came in with me now, but I can look tonight. All I recall is that the plastic tubing over the crimp is yellow. I don't suppose yellow is a standard color for some size, huh?

Been there--done that. 1/4" tabs are too small and the .370" (9mm) tabs will fit the 2nd gen fuse box tabs but not inside of the snap out connectors.

Use the 0.370" (9 mm) connectors (Calterm Female disconnect, p/n 61324). They are a little bigger than required but will fit well on the blades in the rear of the fuse block (i.e. not on the snap out connector part).

Gone a year so far and no problems.

IIRC I got the ones with the yellow ends.

HTH,

Scott

Yes, I checked and I'm using the 0.370 connectors. No problems so far.

I ended up taking the ones that were just a hair to small and spreading them to fit. They are on there nice and tight. Haven't put power to it yet, but should work out fine. Thanks guys
