Some General Questions.
83 GS or GSL (what's the diff????)
1) Just a question regarding the steering. For no power steering, does the steering wheel take a lot of effort to turn at first, then after the wheel has been turned a certain amount, then it suddenly gets really easy (like power steering feel)?? Is this normal??
2) What exhaust and header systems are good and reliable yet offer NO or minimal increase in sound levels? How greatly will emissions be affected with these mods? I am in Singapore, and they are really an*l here regarding car mods.
3) If I want to get 15" rims, what should the width be? And what's the lowest profile tires I can get?(with no major changes in overall wheel diameter)
BTW, is the FB also known as the Savannah??

1. Yes, its heavy at low speed and then gradually lightens up according to the speed you are doing
2. For Singapore, any header system would improve performance but ssek sdvice from your local shop as to what can be done legally.
3. Can you get 5 1/2 to 6 inch rim sizes, but remember the lug pattern is unusual, while have a look for 205 50s tires. The 83 Limited edition had 195.60.15 Bridgestone tires so going to a 50 series should give you the same diameter without a speedo adjustment.
4. Savannah was the Japenese market name, I an not sure whether the Singapore received Japenese models or a specific version to keep down the necessary range of spares. The GSL had more luxury features. a quick visual check is a grapic equaliser and stick speaker balance control. Export versions varied, for example the Australian version is basically the GSL specufications but still called SA rather than FB.
