solid upper//lower rear control arms, what do you guys think?

here are some pics of the solid upper arms .. chrome moly construction with cnc machined aluminum busings eliminate any deflection greatly improving handling (for the road race guys) and minimizing power loss from the rubber bushings(for the drag race guys)
here is the link to the pic;
http://www.imagestation.com/album/pi...31567854&idx=5

next is a solid lower link utilizing a solid cnc aluminum bushing on one end and a hyme joint on the other end to "fine tune" the suspension by adding pinion angle (used by dragracers to get the rear end to bite harder= better 60 foot times), although the roadracers liked the adjustability also.
*****another benifit is no more bent stock links
here is a link to some pics....

i have installed a few sets in customer cars with great results..
one negative though, there is some road noise from the solid bushings but its not too bad.....

so... what do you guys think?

I am afraid the two of those used at the same time will bind up the axle movement.

uuuhhhh,, no it wont bind up, the geometry is the same on the upper links
the bottom links are straight so you can change those a few degrees without any suspension binding... these parts have been tested...no binding

Those are ABSOLUTELY FREAKING BEAUTFUL.

A PERFECT Addition to a Ford Rear End Swap, and keeping the Mazda Geometry.

Did You make em? Freaking Nice!

uuuhhhh,, how is the chassis going to roll when all 4 of the upper bushings will not rotate (Like a Spherical) or flex like a rubber bushing? I may be missing something in the pictures. I was not questioning the geometry.

ahhh i see what your saying..

on the drag cars you dont want ANY roll so all uppers are solid...

the road race guys use a poly bushing on one end, solid on the other end....
i will post a pic with the poly on one end for you.....a faw guys have requested a hyme/ upper for the uppers too

everybody wants a variety so thats what we have
the bottom links are the same for road race and drag race

Cool..... You had mentioned road race in your first post and then I saw the pictures and thought - those would have a hard time. I guess drag racing it is all about the bite

Parts look great though. Nice and clean. I would like to see the pics.

dude just get a tri-link and panhard bar setup from gforce. it's totally adjustable for both drag and road race guys, and it WON'T bind. just my .02 cents

But if it performs the same as Tri-Link/Panhard without the fabbing required then why do a Panhard?

because there are some classes that do not allow for using anything else than stock mounting points...

Hey Robert,

Really nice cheese you got there. Was wondering if you use those can you eliminate the watts linkage? Or will there be another part for that coming soon?

We ran a panhard bar on our GT-2 rx7. The watts link you couldnt always predict what it was going to do. The panhard bar bites and goes. We also run one on our SCCA F pruduction sprites(road race cars)

SCCA allowes both the panhard and the Tri-Link GT in IT, production, and GT. Solid uppers would be a big no, no. Now the lowers look pretty cool. I'd like a set.
The SCCA also allowes Weber 48 IDA's.
