Solex carbs

What do you guys think of Solex Dual 40mm sidedraft carbs and this intake? Ebay#2470059424

Nice setup. Although I don't like the stacks with integrated wire mesh. You reall need a good air filter. But that setup is sweet. Lotta carb but it'll RIP. Good to have for when you upgrade to streetport.

I hear **** like"The Solex was no Rolex" They used to be used as an upgrade on the Old BMW 2002s. Supposedly they had reliability issues and were pretty much destroyed by the Webers. Anybody hear anything similar? Esthetically I think they look great. The velocity stacks are what I like the most! They remind me of the Ferrari 312T4 Boxer engine.
