Just wondering as my 85 GSL is running like crap. Have troubleshot (other threads). What do the solenoid valves actually control: Relief, Switch, shutter? I know what the a/c and vacuum advance solenoids do...thanks!

 

If you have not already, you might want to download the document 85 factory service manual.
Follow the links in the "sticky" section at the top of the forum for 1985 FSM.
The document opens to the many chapters. The one that has the function, troubleshooting, and testing procudures for the valves is "4a Fuel and Emmisions 12A"

I downloaded all the chapters, and the 1979-1985 Caburetor, the wiring diagrams, technical data, and parts catalog, and other 84-85 info.

Maybe some help.
